Give Mother a Scarf, Sandiaga Commemorates Mother's Day in Ponorogo

Kolom Media. Sandiaga Uno celebrates Mother's Day away from her mother, Mien Uno, and his wife, Nur Asia. He commemorated Mother's Day with his mother while campaigning on Bumi Reog.

The arrival of Sandi in Bungkal Village, Ponorogo, on Saturday, was welcomed by the elephant-gajahan traditional art performance. Guided by a tour, Sandi waved to the people. Suddenly, cheers broke out.

Shortly after coming down from the elephant-gajahan, Sandi directly absorbed people's aspirations. He heard various community complaints, from the problem of fertilizer subsidies, lack of employment, to the complaints of farmers about price stability.

One of the mothers named Atik expressed her aspirations. The former migrant worker admitted having trouble getting a job after returning from abroad. He also hoped that if Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga was elected, both of them could create employment opportunities for mothers.

"I come from a poor family, my parents cannot afford to pay for my school. Finally I went to work as a migrant worker. After the contract period, I went home. But I did not find a job for me," complained Atik before Sandiaga.

Meanwhile, Sandi also admitted that he was touched by the struggle of mothers who were willing to become migrant workers to support the family economy. As a form of celebration on the occasion of Mother's Day, she deliberately gave a scarf to Ms. Atik.

"I give a scarf for Ms. Atik, a representative of Ponorogo mothers, moreover this rainy season can warm the body," Sandi said while draping a scarf to Mrs. Atik.

According to him, the figure of the mother is the source of his inspiration. Sandi advised the parents that mothers are great and independent women as the backbone of the nation's future economic development. Sandi added that a mother can be a pillar of family integrity. He said the integrity of the family could bring a strong country.

"This Mother's Day can be a momentum for women's empowerment in Indonesia," he explained.

Sandi stated that currently he was struggling for the past 4 days, from Kediri, Tulungagung, Trenggalek, to Ponorogo, to meet the community. He claimed to want to hear the aspirations of the community directly and meet with coalition party cadres to unite the vision and mission of Prabowo-Sandi.

"The survey results have exceeded 40% but are still lagging behind, but there are still 116 days left, the newly appointed leader of the volunteers will fight in the future, not Prabowo-Sandi, but for Indonesia Adil Makmur," said Sandiaga.
